What exactly does a bookkeeper do?

Think of us as the person who keeps score so you always know how the game is going. We record and organize every financial transaction in your business — income, expenses, payroll, reconciliations — so your books are accurate, up to date, and actually useful. We don't file your taxes, but we make sure your CPA isn't pulling their hair out when they do.
Do I really need a bookkeeper, or can I just do it myself?

You can do your own bookkeeping the same way you can change your own oil. But the question is whether that's the best use of your time. If you're spending hours untangling transactions, missing deductions, or genuinely dreading your own financial reports — it's time to hand it off.
What’s the difference between a Bookkeeper and an Accountant?

Bookkeepers handle the day-to-day: recording transactions, reconciling accounts, generating reports. Accountants (and CPAs) use that data for tax filing, financial strategy, and compliance. We play well with your CPA — in fact, handing them clean books is kind of our love language.
How do I know which package is right for me?

What do I need to get started?

Not much. Access to your bank accounts and any existing accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.) is the starting point. If your books are a little rough around the edges — or a full-on disaster — that's what the Clean-Up service is for. No judgment, just solutions.
Do you work with businesses outside of your region?
We work virtually, so geography isn't a barrier. As long as you have internet access and a willingness to get your finances in order, we're in business.

How does the monthly process work?
Once you're onboarded, it's pretty hands-off for you. We reconcile your accounts, categorize transactions, and deliver clean monthly financial statements. You get the clarity without the chaos.

We work primarily in QuickBooks Online, which integrates with most banks, payroll platforms, and business apps. If you're not on QBO yet, we can get you set up.
